<p>Reporting to the Global Head of Content, the primary function of the role is to support, develop, execute against the central content strategy across all of Betfair's websites and products. At Betfair, content covers a broad remit, including acquisition, onsite activity, localisation & product promotion / cross-sell and the role will be required to ensure that our content activity is being run as efficiently and effectively as possible. </p>
<p>Betfair is a global company and the Senior Content Operations Manager will sit in the Central team working across our International and UK business managing an online content team with three core focuses </p>
<ol>
<li>Identify pan-European content opportunities to support & deliver against overall acquisition activity, whilst ensuring content remains relevant, useful & integrated for existing users</li>
<li>Maximize onsite revenue by identifying, planning, delivering & executing content strategies & campaigns that direct users to the most relevant markets / products, as well as up-selling & cross-selling related items, in the most effective manner</li>
<li>Further expand our Content Centre of Excellence by providing support, expert advice, best practices and market insight to the regions on the execution of their content activities enabling them to optimise and maximise their spend</li>
</ol>
<p>Central to the role will be the ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of our core content KPIs of Payback (RPA), onsite activity (ASD), content spend & web metrics (UV's, PV's, etc). A key deliverable will be an International cross-channel content plan that will feed into the overall budgeting and forecasting process. </p>
<p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of developing & operating outstanding online customer propositions and improving ROI from running content websites whilst being an excellent communicator who can engage at all levels of Betfair. The role will be able to balance the ongoing operational requirements of the business while proactively identifying ways to improve efficiency through better processes, systems, tools & structures. </p>
<p>You will be expected to work closely with key stakeholders including the International and Central Marketing teams to make recommendations as to how to optimise spend for our business-as-usual content activity and will also work closely with the Regional businesses to support them in achieving monthly and quarterly targets. </p>
<p>Content, both onsite & offsite, is at the heart of our business and being able to track its success and evaluate its impact is absolutely vital. The Senior Content Operations Manager will be required to improve the way we track our activities by working in partnership with key stakeholders within Betfair. You will also work very closely with the Global Head of Content to develop an overall reporting framework to demonstrate the value of each channel to help fulfil Betfair's objective of becoming a sophisticated online marketing operation. </p>
<p><b>THE RESPONSIBILITIES.</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>To take day-to-day responsibility (for) and working with the Central Content team develop the content strategy</li>
<li>To analyse and report on core KPI's across the international business ensuring that both existing customer & new customer targets are being met as effectively as possible</li>
<li>To work closely with the regional businesses to provide support, advice and insight on their content activities</li>
<li>To represent content on key business change projects (CMS, Analytics, Business Rules, etc) & to ensure content requirements are adequately & accurately represented</li>
<li>To work with the Central Marketing team to identify and develop Pan-European content campaigns</li>
<li>To monitor and evaluate content activities and to determine success against agreed targets to include monthly KPI reporting and to act accordingly to address variances</li>
<li>To track the weekly and monthly spend of the Central content against the agreed budgets</li>
<li>To improve tracking & reporting models that demonstrate & attribute the value of each content</li>
<li>To maintain & improve a 1-year content plan that ties into marketing, SEO, commercial, product and sports activity and to ensure key internal groups deliver against this schedule</li>
<li>To work with key stakeholders across the business including the European Regional Managers, the UK Acquisition team, Finance, product and technology</li>
</ul>
<p><b>THE MUST HAVES (skills & knowledge)</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Strong operational content experience in a consumer-facing business (5 years +)</li>
<li>Expert knowledge of content channels: online media, SEO, social media, mobile & upcoming channels, trends and technologies</li>
<li>To be numbers-literate and have good experience of budget management</li>
<li>Experience of devising and delivering cost-effective content / marketing campaigns</li>
<li>Proven experience successfully managing complex projects from inception to delivery</li>
<li>Able to show proven experience of increasing conversion/online KPI's through optimisation/proposition enhancements</li>
<li>Experience of managing a variety of resources; people, agencies and budgets</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and web analytics skills</li>
<li>Results oriented individual with a focus on execution</li>
